Abstract Bond of Obligation. Nimrod Jacobs (free Negro) and Robert M. Richardson, merchant, are bound unto the State for the sum of 30 pounds. Whereas Nimrod Jacobs has lately purchased and brought into Worcester County from Accomack County Virginia a Negro woman slave named Priscilla (who is the mother of Nimrod) and whereas the said woman is aged and infirm and may become a burden to the said County after gaining her freedom; the condition of this bond is such that Richardson or Jacobs agree to maintain and support Priscilla.
