Abstract | An Indenture made between the Overseers of the Poor and James Lewis to carry out an order made in October Court dated 27 January 1810 to bind James, a free Negro son of Comfort Perks and Juda and Peter children of Leah Perkins James and Peter until the age of twenty one, and Juda until eighteen, unto James Lewis who will provide sufficient Meat, Drink, Washing, Lodging, Wearing Apparel, teach James and Peter the trade of a Farmer and Juda Spinning and also pay each of them Twelve Dollars at the expiration of the said time. |
