Abstract | An Indenture made by the Overseers of the Poor and Thomas R. Joynes to carry out an order made in the County Court dated 28 June 1824 to bind George, a free Negro the son of Sabrah Sturgis until the age of twenty one, unto Thomas R. Joynes, who will provide sufficient Meat, Drink, Washing, Lodging, and Wearing Apparel, teach him the trade of a Farmer and also pay him Twelve Dollars at the expiration of the said time. |
