Church Service, Charges Served, Affiliated Locations, and Other Biographical Information Early life spent on farm. Attended N.J. schools. Converted & joined M.E. Church in 1858. In 1863 licensed to preach. Enlisted in U.S. Army in 1861 & discharged at end of war. Joined Delaware Conference in 1867. Appointments: Mt. Zion, Milford; Harmony & Lewis; Dover; Ezion Wilmington; Cambridge Salem; Germantown; Philadelphia; St. Daniel, Chester; Frankford, Pa; Merchantville, N.J.; Cape May, Fordsville, Chester, Centreville, & Cambridge. Build & renovated several parsonages & churches. Involved with the old Centenary Biblical Institute, now Mrrgan College. Also first to send a student to Princess Anne Academy - then a branch of Morgan College.
Family and Other Information Parents: Edward & Margaret Cox First marriage was before the [Civil] war-children: 2 boys & 1 girl- Charles & William survive him. Second spouse: Mrs. Isabel P. Adams of Baltimore, Md. md 6/17/1885. married 40 yrs
