Joined Texas Conference in 1891. Chair of Mathematics Wiley University, Marshall Texas. Then appointed to Galveston, Texas & was there when great storm occurred; He, wife, & 2 children survived. Worked in other locations in country & Liberia, Africa - 18 yrs. Trnsferred to Delawre Conference. Charges: Cambridge Circuit; Port Deposit; St. Andrews, Fairmount; Woodbury N.J.; Cottage Grove, Md.
Family and Other Information Parents: Hannah & Philip Reed (who was local preacher to African Methodist church who died at 98 yo in 1911) Spouse: Marguerite Louise Jackson 12/10/1894 - 4 children: Walter Emmit, Verna Leona, Fannie Mary & Florence Roberts. Survived by wife, son, daughter, brother & 2 sisters.
