Church Service, Charges Served, Affiliated Locations, and Other Biographical Information | Parents were members of M. E. Church & brought up son in nature of the Lord although they were slaves. Was usefull to Church & felt called to preach & entered ministry. Due to being a slave he could not work extensively. Bought himself at 40 yo. Gave more fully to ministry through Md, De, Pa & often in Va without being molested, with some exceptions, where others could not travel without trouble. If he was molested he would not stop. As soon as Delaware Conference was organized, he entered itinterant ranks & preached until almost spent. |
