Transaction Abstract Whereas Devereux Traverse has executed to Samule D. Lecompte a Bill of Sale of Negro woman Ibby for amount therein expressed. Whereas at that time John H. Hodson & John Webster held the properties of said Devereux Traverse & they & he have since joined in deed thereof to undersigned (William H. Travers, Isabella Bayly, Maria Hooper & Olivia Traverse) without particularly excepting said Negro woman Ibby & it is right in such case to complete said title of LeCompte if it should not be complete. The undersigned conveys title of Ibby to LeCompte. (mortgage of $99 & interest & $50 released claim on Ibby & she is sold to LeCompte) Signed 10 Aug 1849.
