Transaction Abstract Indenture by virtue of Act of General Assembly of Maryland passed December Session 1839, Chapter 35 titled "An Act to provide for the better regulation of free Negreos and Mullato children within this state." John D. Parker in presence of 2 Justices of the Orphans Court has taken as an apprentice, Negro boy George Levin 16 yo next March, orphan of Rachel Camper. He is to serve as apprentice until he is 21 yo and will be provided meat, drink, clothes, washing, lodging & other necessaries & will be taught occupation of farmer. When free Parker will give him $25 as freedom dues. Signed 19 Nov 1849.
