Description/Full Text Servants marrying without the consent of their masters are to serve one year after their term has expired; a free man marrying a servant woman is to pay double the value of the extra service, a man servant committing fornification with a woman servant is to serve her master one year or pay 1500 pounds of tobacco and give security to indemnify the parish against the expense of the child. A freeman so offending shall pay 1500 pounds of tobacco or one year's service to the master of the servan of whom he shall get a bastard child and give security to maintain the child. Fornication is punished by paying 500 pounds of tobacco to the use of the parish or by whipping.
