Additional Information (price, other items) Postly owns woman Candall who is his daughter & the other slaves who are the children of Candall. Candall is confirmed cripple & unable to earn her own support. Jacob Postly is liable for maintenance of Candall & wants to make a permanent provision for support & to secure priveledge of her becoming free if any future time modified to permit manumission. Franklin may hire out from time to time & pay to James P Johnson of Philadelphia PA, free negro, the son of Jacob such sums rec'd for hire. To secure freedom of her children, along with any others who might be born, if the children want to leave state of MD of if MD laws are altered to permit manumitted slaves to remain in state at sum of $1 pd to Postly. Includes any others that will be born to Candall or any female children after today before the dath of Jacob Postly. [read original for more clarity]
