| Text | Orphans Court appointed John Stewart and Wm Tilghman appraisers to report on the real estate of Sarah B. Cottman, Joseph Cottman and Wm Cottman, orphas in the care of Esther Cottman, their guardian. 24 Feb 1807 appraisers report slaves Joseph, Levin, Peter, Clem, Huet, Bridget, Aron, Bable, Nutter, Littleton, Dick, Jane, Isaac, Mingo, Gted, Liddy, Rose, Jack, Flora, Charles, Nance, George, Meshack, Simon, Mariah, Shadrick, Sampson, Hannah & Hary. There is on Wicomoco Creek, one dwelling hosue in complete order and full glazed, one new kitchen, new colonade, new milk house, new smoke house, and one good barn, one old dwelling house, one log stable, 1 granary, 1 corn house, 1800 pannels good fence, 1440 pannels indifferent fence, 3200 young peach trees, 90 apple trees, 700 apple trees, 150 acres of woodland and the 2/3rds valuation thereof to be $200. There is on the Pocomoke lands 1250 pannels fence 7 logs to the pannel, 60 old apple trees, 16 pannels pails, 1 old house very sorry, 1 sawed log'd quarter, 1 old barn, 2 born houses, annual valuation is L20, the ditching to be kept up at the expense of the guardian. |
