King, orphans in the care of William Polk, Esq. 10 Feb 1807 appraisers report slaves: Ben, Shadrick, Littleton, Robin Glasgow, Denwood, John, Kiah, Eli, Hamilton, Beck, Milly, Ben, Nancy, Luizey, Caleb, Ebby, Nancy, Milcha, Michael, Sam, Mary, Leah, Hetty, Jacob, Levin, Abigail, Sib, Zipporah, Lambert, Moses, Melvin, Patience, Juda, Isaac, Louisea, Levin, Charlotte, belonging to Charlotte W. King. Slave belonging to Robert J.H. King: Sharper, Sarah, Patt, Lucy, George, Israel, Stephen 3d, Isaish, Henry 1st, Amos, Pacy, Sall, George, Fender, Good, Henry 2d. There is on the north side of the Branch Plantationone dwelling house 20 by 16 with one side and end shed in good repair, 1 old kitchen, 1 smoke house, 1 milk house, 1 quarter, 1 bar 32 by 20 feet, 4 side sheds, 2 corn houses, 1 new pailed garden, 6000 pannels fence 8 logs, 140 apple trees, 1/3 of the cultivated land to be annually in Indian corn. On the South side of the Branch place 1 new dwelling house not yet finished, 2 old negro houses, 1 old corn house, 1 new corn hosue, 1 bar, 2400 pannels fence, 150 apple trees, 1/3 to cultivated annually in Indian corn. There is on MItchell's place 1 dwelling house 16 by 16 feed bad repair, 1 old house, 1 old bar 32 by 20 feet, 1600 pannels fence 7 logs to the pannel, 130 apple trees, 1/3 to be cultivated annually in Indian corn. There is on the old dwelling place 1 brick dwelling house in indifferent repair, 1 kitchen bad, 1 larger Quarter good, 1 large barn good, 12 pannels railing round the grave yard, 2130 pannels fence 7 logs to thepannel, 300 apple trees, 500 peach trees. There is on the place where York Roach lives 1 old house very sorry, 350 pannels fence. None of the Tobacco Lott should be cultivated in Indian corn; annual value of the place on the Devil's Island is L3. At Princess Anne there is a two story frame house 30 by 20 feet called the new store in good repair and one other store house 30 by 20 feet in indifferent repair; at Princess Anne there is one small dwelling house 16 by 16 feet, 1 kitchen 16 by 16 feet, 13 pannells of pails; at Princess Anne 1 dwelling house now occupied by Mrs. Cowan 24 feet by 18, one side shed, one wing 20 by 15 feet.
