| Text | Orphans Court appointed Robert Jones, Sr. and John Jones appraisers to view and report on the real estate of Peggy White, Eliza Ann White & Maria White, orphans in the care of Nancy White their guardian. Wit: Charle Jones. 30 Nov 1805 appraisers report that there are 2/3s of two negroes Elice and Violet belonging to the said orphans, valued at L14 and on the said lands one dwelling house 25 by 20 with two rooms and two brick chimneys covered and weatherboarded with pine plank in sorry repair, one old kitchen very sorry, one old milk house sorry, one logd meat house 14 by 12 covered with shingles i ngood repair one logd barn 20 by 16 covered with shingles with a small shed at the end in good repair, two small logged cornhouses in sorry repair, one hen house sorry, one small garden sorry, 130 very small apple trees, 54 old apple tres, 400 peach tres, a few small cherry trees and quince, a few plum trees, 250 pannels of good fence, 1000 pannels sorry fence, 150 acres of land in which 2/3 to be assessed to the said orphans. There is about 70 acres of said land in cultivation, about 55 acres in woods and about 40 acres inmarsh, the estimated value of said lands to be L20 per year. |
