Abstract of Record Indenture between Theodore G Dashiell & Levin Tyler, two Justices of the Peace of the one part and William W. Handy of the second part. The Justices have placed & bound out Spencer Dennis, free negro boy 15 yo, the son of Leah Dennis, with her consent, as apprentice to William W. Handy. To learn trade of farming; to receive freedom suit of clothes worth $10 and $12 in cash.
