Abstract of Record | Distribution of negroes of estate of Matthias Jones, deceased, among his children in conformity of his directiions of his will. William I. Jones, one of the representatives [heirs] had received more than his proportion of the estate so will not receive any negroes; but court has divided them among his six remaining children as follows, also noted are names and values. To Samuel ? Jones: Tamare (value $300), Betsy ($275). To Alfred H. Jones: Susan ($300), Louisa ($750). to Edward ? Jones: Sarah ($400). To Henrietta Sudler: Sally ($300), Nelson ($150). To Margaret Jones: Hary ($500). To Mary G. Jones: Ellen ($400). There are also two old and infirm negroes Cyrus and Rhoda belonging to the estate that were charged as an incumbrance on the estate of $150 each. Rhoda allotted to Samuel Jones; Alfred H. Jones allotted to Cyrus. Other moneys exchanged among heirs to balance values received. |
