Abstract Justices of the Peace bind Charles Peck, a mulatto boy (son of Charles Peck & Myrtilla Pecvk, free negroes) to Thomas P. Bennett, to learn the trade of waiter & house servant. Charles Peck was born on or after 25 December 1812. To Thomas B. Bennett, Esq.: Baltimore 9 June. It is my earnest wish that my son Charles Peck who at the laste court of Talbot County obtained his freedom from you should remain with you and be bound to serve you until he arrive at the age of 21 yo. Dear Sir: Charles Peck has no hesitation in giving the above as he knows you will treat his child well. In haste, yrs. respectfully, J. Kennard.
