Abstract | "I doubt not for one moment the right of myself in law to servants herein givenand bequeath and the stric justice of the bequests, yet it is my will and desire and I hereby expressly will, that if any or eith of my said named grand children or any guardian or next friend fo rthem or either of them, shall attempt to deprive my said son Thomas C. Worrell of the slaves given and bequeathed to him, then and in such case, the said grand chhild making such attempt or the said grand child for whom such attempt or effort shall be made shall at once and immediatly forfeit the legacy of $1000 herein before bequeathed him or her....negro man Jerry, negro Maria J. Rose and her son Phil, slaves for life. I enjoin and require Thomas to take care of and comfortably support my old and infirm negroes, Daph and Bet. |
