Abstract all my slaves free at end of year and that they be delivered to officers of Maryland State Colonization Society for purpose of being sent to Africa. Had the adult ones been willing to go to that country I should have liberated them several years ago. If they do not consent to return to the land of their fathers they are to remain in bondage until they become willing. I wish them to go to Africa where there is a much better prospect of comfort and prosperity for them. Names are: Minty, Charity, Monica, Sandy, Rachel, Harriet, old and young Frank, Celia, old Charity, little Charity, Charlotte, Hansom, Luke, Daniel, Levy, Alfred, Adam, Henry, Ferry, Phillis, Emma, July, Ally, and Sally with all their children of the females, some name may be omitted but I want them all to be free.
