Abstract Codicil to will 4/7/1842: to have the blacks I purchased of her father's estate by paying $650 when she is 21. If she chooses not to take them then the negroes purchased of the estate of Thomas Waltham to go to my sons William H. Strong, Thomas A. Strong, Lawrence M. Strong and John A. Strong and they pay my daughter Harriet Thomas and granddaughter Susan Waltham $100 out of each sale of negroes. If she takes the negroes then to pay Harriet Thomas $100, John Strong $112.50, William H. Strong $112.50, Lawrence M. Strong $112.50, Thomas A Strong $112.50. My sons to have hire of negroes until Susan Waltham is 21.
