Abstract to be set at their liberty in the following manner, one month after testator's decease: all slaves above the age of 40 to be free. Two months after testator's decease all slaves above the age of 35 to be free. Four months after testator's decease all slaves above the age of 30 to be free. Six months after his decease those slaves 25 and up are to be free. One year after decease those ovedr the age of 20 are to be free. those under the age of 20 to be free at the age of 20. Desires that those set free to continue to live on the Quarter where they reside keeping the rooms they now occupy along w/ the gardens that they have become accustomed to and that Peggy Sullivan and Mable Bohn to have right to several rooms they occupy and that Anthony Bower continue on in the house where he now lives and that Samuel Troup who has "long served me with the greated fidelity and who I view among the best of God's creature" keep the rooms he now occupies and that the same ground he has become accustomed to for raising potatoes, salad, and liberty to raise 2 hogs. codicil to the will: all slaves are set free. Negro child Henny who was purchased from John P. Paca Esq. to be set free.
