Black Individuals Mentioned in Will any negroes shal be free at 25 yo & have that are over 25 yo at my death. Shall be free at once: celia 25 yo to be free at my dath. Lavinia 21 yo, Mary 24 yo, Charlotte 20 yo, Richard 18 yo, Nancy 22 yo, Milly 13 yo, George 8 yo, James 2 yo, Anne 15 mos. & William 9 mos. All the above name Negroes are to serve Mary L. Shockleyuntil they are 25 yo & the children of said female negroes are to be free at the time their mothers are free. I mean that those that are born after my death but during the time their mothers have to serve Mary L. Shockley. If they or either of the said negroes mentioned in the above bequest shall refuse to serve th said Mary L. Shockley are slaves for a term of years mentioned above they shall be sold as slaves for life & proceeds of sale repaid to Shockley. In event Shockley dead before said Negroes has served the time specified they are to serve Margaret Blandon in same way. It is my express desire that none to be taken out of State of Maryland & any attempt to take them to Virginia or any other state state in United States. Margaret Blandon adobpted daughter, wife of Henry Blandon of Northumberland County Virginia. None of Negroes to be save for life unless convicted by court of law.
