Black Individuals Mentioned in Will "whereas she was not only the graceful and affectionate nurse of my two younger children Alexander and Anne in their infancy, but hath uniformly behaved with such fidelity and unshaken integrity and hath at all times cheerfully performed the various domestick (sic) duties and services required of her with such constant assiduity and devoted attachment to the family and more especially has attended and nursed me in severe and protracted puroxysmes of gout, with such un--- attententive and anxious solicitude as not only to deserve freedom but to merit a competent support for life." To be free and to have for her life and in trust the sum of $1000 of the 5% stock in the state of Maryland and in a certificate bearing the sale of 7/27/1836 for $1000 and to be redeemable after the 30th of June 18-- and also 50 shares of the capital or joint stock in the Baltimore and Frederick Town Turnpike and also shares in the Baltimore and Reister Town Turnpike Companies and to be transferred into her name during her life, and at her decease to write a will leaving the stocks to testator's children and grandchildren as she shall select and should she die intestate then to testator's grandson Alexander Bayley Muse and testator's son Alexander Bayley.
