Abstract Ann Jane Blake, 11 yo on 1 March next, daughter of Martha Blake, free Negro of indigent circumstances & with her approbation, is bound as apprentice to Littleton Bennett to learn the calling of housework, until 1 March 1856 when she is 16 yo. She is to receive sufficient meat, drink, clothing & lodging during her apprenticeship and at end of term to receive 2 suits of wearing apparel - 1 for Sundays & the other for working day. Includes statement by Martha Blake that she is mother of Ann.
