Abstract James Purnell, free Negro child, 8 yo on 12 July next, son of Mary Purnell, free Negro, with her approbation, is bound by Court as apprentice to Ambrose Robins until 12 Jul 1864 when he is 21 yo, to learn trade of farming. He is to receive sufficient meat, drink, clothing & lodging while apprentice and at expiration of term to receive 2 suits of apparel, 1 suitable for Sundays & the other for working days & $25 in cash.
