Abstract James Purnell, Negro boy 8 yo on 20 Sept last, comes to Court & is represented that he is not at service, learning a trade, or employed in service to his parents; without means sufficient for his maintenance. He is apprenticed until 21 yo, to Elisha Collins to learn the trade of a farmer. He is to receive suitable clothing & maintenance during his apprenticehip & at its expiration to receive freedom suit to cost $20 & $20 in cash.
