Abstract Leah A. M. Smith, Negro girl 12 yo on 1 September last past, comes to Court and is represented as not being at service, learning a trade or employed in service of her parents; she is without sufficient means for her maintenance. Court binds her as apprentice to Ritchie Fooks until she is 18 yo, to learn trade of housework. She is to be supplied with suitable clothing & maintenance during apprenticeship & when free to get $20.
