| Abstract | Petition of John H. Robins, free Negro boy, that he was bound by his father Arthur Robins to James Bowen of Josiah by indenture entered into 4 Dec 1849. He was delivered to Bowen & served faithfully as apprentice. About 11 months since Bowen left state of Maryland in clandestine manner without having disposed of petitioners time according to law and has never returned. Since that time petitioner has been in several hands but conceived that indenture between him & said master James Bowen have been unfulfilled. He prays the judges will annul the indenture and send him to some good person to learn him some trade or calling. |
