| Abstract | Indenture between Justices of Peace and George H. Bennitt for apprenticeship of George Thomas Blake, Negro who on 30 Jun next will be 4 yo, son of Hetty Blake, Negro of indigent circumstances. With approbation of his mother, Blake to apprentice with, dwell with and serve George H. Bennitt to learn art of farming until 30 Jun 1865 when he is 21 yo. He will be provided with sufficient meat, drink, clothing & lodging and at expiration of term will receive 2 suits of wearing apparel- one for Sunday and one for working days. |
