Slaves mustered into the 19th Regiment, US Colored Troops (Dorchester, Somerset, and Worcester Counties, Maryland). Compiled by Linda Duyer from original versions of the Maryland Adjutant General Civil War Muster Rolls, 1864-1866, entitled Slaves Mustered into U.S. Colored Troops, 19th Regiment. Maryland Hall of Records (MSA S 936-51; MdHR 50, 055-61). The dates of mustering were not recorded. Also, names from the following counties of the 19th Regiment were not recorded: Caroline, Queen Anne, or Talbot.
Note that this is just a list of the slaves mustered into the army. To determine the names of other volunteers to the 19th who had not entered as enslaved people, please refer to the more detailed documents.
