Abstract Wise Fountain, being of lawful age, swears that she had often heard her mother, Hannah Selby, say that she hath given a Negro man named Able to her son Parker Selby and that she had given a bill of sale to Parker Selby. At the time of this conversation, Mrs. Selby had lived with this deponent and "as this deponent can recollect the said Negro has been in the said Parkers possession nine or ten years" and further this deponent says that her mother Mrs. Selby told her that Capt. John Selby came to her house and was present when the bill of sale was given. [3 entries relating to this]
