Abstract | An Indenture made between the Overseers of the Poor and William Downing to carry out an order made in County Court dated 26 October 1802 to bind a Negro Girl named Nancy orphan of Molley freed by W. Davy until the age of twenty one unto William Downing who will provide sufficient Meat, Drink, Washing, Lodging, and Wearing Apparel, teach her reading, writing and arithmetic, Weaving, Spinning and Netting and also pay her Twelve Dollars at the expiration of the said time. |
