Church Service, Charges Served, Affiliated Locations, and Other Biographical Information Circuit riders preaching gospel passed through where he lived and he was converted. While there were obstacles to his learning he persisted until he could read the Bible and Methodist Hymn Book. He preached the gospel & held religious meetings. Became well-known preacher of African descent. In 1866 he was received on trial in Delaware Annual Conference. Appointments: Friendship, Hillsboro, Greensboro, Fairlee, Marydel, Talbot Circuit, Crumpton, Skipton, Sassafras. Was superannuated in 1888. Many revivals in charges he served.
Family and Other Information Parents: Jesse & Queen Morocco Grinnage Spouse: Milly Heath for 12 years (dec'd 45 years ahead of him). - 2 children. 2nd. Spouse: Phoebe Jones md. 44 yrs and she survives him.
