He was not able to attend school and his mother passed when he was young. He helped father support family. Joined Delaware Conference in 1895 & served charges: Cambridge circuit, Parsonsburg, Wittman, Unionville, Box Iron, Nanticoke, Bridgeville, Linkwood, East New Market, Reids Grove, Hebron, Withams, Oakville, Deals Island, Polks Road & LIberia. Retired in 1935.
Family and Other Information Parent: Henry Nichols Spouse: Sarah Gardner on 7/11/1878 - child William H. who predeceased his father. Survived by wife, adopted daughter Mrs. Helen Phillips & 2 nephews.
