Text | Orphans Court appointed Samuel Smith and William Tilghman appraisers to report on the real estate of John C. Gibbons, George H. Gibbons, Nancy Gibbons, Maria Gibbons and Amelia Gibbons, orphans in the care of Amelia Gibbons, their guardian. 14 Jun 1808 appraisers report negroes James, Phamey and child, Harry, of which 1/3 belong to said guardian, at the place where the guardian now lives. 1 sawed logg dwelling house 16 by 16 covered with plank with brick chimney in midling repair, 1 kitchen round loggs covered with plank 14 by 14 with brick chimney in good repair, 1 round logg barn 16 by 16 covered with plank in bad repair, 1 corn cribb sawed logs 16 by 6 covered with boards in midling repair, also 1 sawed logg moak house 10 by 10 covered with boards in good repair, 1 garden enclosed with 24 pannels watled paleing in good repair, 1 old apple orchard with 18 apple trees, peach orchard with 118 trees, 1 field on north side of the farm about 25 acres and on the farm where Josiah Gibbons now lives there is 1 dwelling house 20 by 16 weather boarded and covered with plank with brick chimney in bad repair, 1 sawed logg kitchen 12 by 16 covered with plank with brick chimney, 1 small corn cribb sawed loggs in midling repair, also 1 field on the east and about 30 acres enclosed with midling fence one field on the west and 25 acres enclosed also with midling fence; the proportion of the lands in woods is two fifth parts of the whole, the annual value of lands and negroes $99. |
