Text | The orphans court appointed John Stewart and Zadock Long appraisers to report on the real estate at Robert J.H. King, orphan in the care of Robert J. King his guardian. 2 Sept 1814 appraisers reported slaves Ben, Beck, Milley, Dennwood, Nanny, Isaac, Littleton, Sr., Eli, Hamilton, Leah & Susan, Hetty, Abigail, Levin, Jacob, Levi, Shepherd, Lambert, Lib, Patience, Robin (blind), Shadrick, Simon, Stephen, Sr., Betty, Sarah & 3 children, Patt & 3 children, Isreal, Henry, Stephen, Isaiah, Amos, Sabra, Sall, Esther & 4 children, Lucy & 4 children, Littleton, Jr. and George, the annual value of $316 exclusive of the maintenance and clothing of the old, infirm and young negroes. There is on the plantation on thenorth side of the branch one dwelling house in good repair, one kitchen, one quarter, one barn, one corn house, smoak house, milk house, granary, one necessary, one pailed garden, old apple apple trees, about 4000 pannels fence, annual value $380. There is on theplantationon the south side of the branch 1 good dwelling house, 1 old kitchen, 1 quarter, 1 old barn, one corn house and granary, a number ofold apple trees, 4000 pannels fence, annual value $266 2/3. There is on the plantations called Mitchells 1 dwelling house, 1 log house, 1 corn hosue, 1 smoke house, 1 old barn all sorry, a number of old apple and cherry trees, about 2000 pannels of fence, annual value $80. At Carters there are 2 small houses, annual value $20; There is in Princess Anne, Part Lot No. 11 a dwelling house, 1 smoke house, 1 old barn all sorry, a number of old apple and cherry trees, about 2000 pannels of fence, annual value $80. Part Lot No. 14 red store, annual value $100; part Lot 13 McClemmy's dwelling house and kitchen annual value $30; part lot No. 14 McClemmy's store house and shop annual value $60; a small place on the Devils Island, annual value $8.33, total value of all $1431. |
