| Text | The orphans court appointed William Handy, Sr. and Benjamin Moore appraisers to report on the real estate of William Handy, Sr. and Benjamin Moore appraisers to report on the real estate of William Hamden Doughty Colliar and John Francis Colliar, orphans in the care of William Hopkins their guardian. 13 Feb 1815 appraiser report seven negroes; Tinion, Tom, James, Charles, Jesse, Molley and Vilet, one logged dwelling house 28 by 18 feet in bad repair, 1 kitchen 18 by 16 in tolerable repair, one meat hosue, one barn, one milkhouse, one spring house, one carriage house, and one quarter, the whole of which is very rotten and almost eaten up with worms, 100 old apple trees and a few old peach trees, a garden and yard, railed in part and pailed in part, ditches almost filled up, 100 acres of woods, annual value including negroes and dower of Mrs. Hellena Collier and Mrs. Hopkins $90. |
