Abstract of Record Indenture between Wm W. Maddux & John Rider, Justices of the Peace, of the one part & Charity Johnson of the other part. Levy Wolford, orphan boy 17 yo on 1 February instant, raised from an infant by Charity Johnson, free negro, bound as apprentice to Charity Johnson to learn trade & mystery of farming. To serve until 1 February 1848 when 20 yo. At expiration of term Wolford to receive suit of clothes worth $5 or that sum in current money.
