Abstract | Rev. Hamilton Bell & Leah his wife, with Whittington King & John King, exhibit certain writing purporting to be bond by Levin Woolford to Ann Jones, Widow, in sum of 20,000 lbs, dated 19th June 1781, conditioned that if Levin Woolford live longest and should agree, that Ann Jones at her death should dispose of her estate (includes negro men Toney & Ceasar, woman Frank, 3 negro ladds, Joshua, Jupiter & Jem, 2 girls Rosey, Beek). If living & not taken from him by the enemy before her death, provided Levin Woolford be cleared of claims against estate of John King's heirs, or others claiming debts contracted before Ann Jones married Levin Woolford. It appears that they were married after execution of bond. Certain writing exchanged purporting to be will of said Ann, Ann woolford. Levin Woolford objects to will. |
