Abstract William Austin offers for probate purporting to be the will of John Austin: To son William land, "Georges Lot", 5 head of negroes: woman Leah, boy Saul, girl Grace, boy York, boy Benjamin. [note will was disputed, stating Austin was not of sound mind or was drunk; various witnesses. There were, seemingly different wills]. On folio 16: black woman Vilet brought news of John Austin's death. On folio 37 witness Benjamin Vincent states that Austin's will stated that his daughter Harriet Christopher to receive one negro; to Johshua Jones' children, one negro; rest to son Billy. Other versions of will said they did not get anything.
