Abstract Peter Armstrong, 8 yo on 10 June next, son of Matilda Patience Armstrong, of indigent circumstances, free Negro, and with her approbation, is bound by Court as apprentice until 10 Jun 1863 when he is 21 yo, to Handy Powell to learn trade of farming. Peter is to receive sufficient meat, drink, clothing & lodging while apprentice & at expiration of term to receive 2 suits of wearing apparel - 1 for Sundays & other for working days 7 $10 in money. Includes statement by his mother that he is her child.
