Abstract Amanda P. Houston, free Negro 4 yo on 12 March next, daughter of Judah Houston, free Negro of indigent circumstances, is bound to John M. Houston until 12 Mar 1862 when she is 16 yo, to learn business according to Amanda's ability. She is to receive sufficient meat, drink, clothing, & lodging during apprenticeship & at its expiration to receive $20. Includes notation from Judah giving her permission.
