Abstract John T.A.S. Handy, Negro boy 12 yo on 20 April last, comes into Court being represent that he is not at service, learning a trade or employed in service of his parents; he is without means sufficient for his maintenance. He is bound as apprentice until 21 yo to Teagle Townsend to learn trade of a farmer. He is to be supplied with suitable clothing & maintenenace during apprenticeship & when free to receive $12.
