Abstract mulatto boy Jem (son of Lucy) in trust that Jem be bound to a house joiner (in Philadelphia or elsewhere as he may judge best) of reputed character as workman to serve Nicholson shall apprentice said boy until Jan 1, 1821 then free. If not done within 12 months then Jem to be bound by Edward Turner somewhere in Maryland. Also Daniel Green (free mulatto and husband of my wench Lucy & son of Lucy) until Jan 1, 1822 after which said negro to William H. Nicholson to be bound to a house joiner in Philadelphia until 1/1/1834 then free. if not done in 12 mos then to Edward Turner to bind out. Holding in trust 140 acre tract formerly property of Robert Carson shall permit Daniel Green & his wife Lucy (now my mulatto slave) during life of Lucy. After her death to the chlidren of Lucy, still under his trusteeship.
