Black Individuals Mentioned in Will to have Negro woman Kitturah to serve until the end of the year 1887 and then to be free, Negro man Littleton to serve until the end of the year 1875 and then to be free he having been given to testator by testator's father-in-law Daniel Ballard "when a little boy previous to making his will and assessed to me at his request." To have Negro girl Hester to serve according to the terms of the will of Wiliam Handley, and it is testatator's request that she set her Negro man Samuel James free at the age of 35 or 40 and all the increase of the above Negroes to be free at the age of 35. Codicil to will: to have Negro girl Harriet to serve her until she arrives to the end of the year 1872 and then to be free.
