Abstract | Thomas M. Martin, 1 yo on 18 May next, son of Mariah Martin, free Negro of indigent circumstances, is bound by Court to Joseph E. Godfrey as apprentice until 18 [May] 1871 when he is 21 yo, to learn trade of farming, with approbation of his mother. He is to receive sufficient meat, drink, clothing & lodging during apprenticeship and at expiration of term to receive 2 sets of wearing apparel one for Sunday & 1 for working days & $10 cash. |
