Abstract | James Martin, 8 yo on 17 September next , son of Mariah Martin, free Negro of indigent circumstances is bound out as apprentice to Joseph E. Godfrey to learn the trade of farming until 17 Sep 1863 when he will be 21 yo. He is to receive sufficient meat, drink clothing & lodging during apprenticeship & at end of term to receive 2 suits of wearing apparent, one for Sundays & one for working days & $10. |
