| Abstract | Isaac Thomas Townsend, free Negro boy 12 yo on 28 July next as represented by his mother and as appears by family record in Bible shown to Court. He is son of Hannah Townsend, free Negro, who is of indigent circumstances. With her consent and approbation of Isaac he is bound by Court to Denard Williams to learn trade of farming until 28 Jul 1859 when he will be 21 yo. He is to receive sufficient meat, drink, clothing, & lodging during apprenticeship; at end of term to receive suit of clothes to cost $12 or $12 in cash. Hannah also states that she is his only living parent. |
