Abstract | Orphans Court of Worcester Cty on application of James W. Holland, one of the children & legaties of Isaac Holland deceased, ordered that commission authorized to assign to the widow of Isaac Holland her 1/3 part of the Negroes of deceased mentioned in his will as legacies which are remaining unsold and assigning distribution of Negroes provided they do not exceed in vallue 1/3 valuation of all Negroes remaining. Results of the commission's distribution of Negroes which totals $1200 as follows: Robert 70 yo no value legacy to James W. Holland, man McKenna 20 yo $325 legacy to James W. Holland, woman Susan 49 yo $100 legacy to Elizabeth Holland, the widow, Charlott 13 yo $300 legacy to Elizabeth Holland widow, Caroline 24 yo $250 to Eliza Burbage, now Eliza Smith - Negro girl Ellen 14 yo $225 legacy to Isaac Nock. whole valuation amounting to same $1200 as aforesaid, the widow being entitled to $40 as 1/3 part of said Negroes. They assigned to widow the following: Negro woman Susan $100 & Negro girl Charlotte $300 making the sum of $400 being 1/3 of whole. Total to each: James W. Holland $325, Eliza Burbage now Eliza Smith $250, Isaac Nock $225, Elizabeth Holland widow $400. Signed 31 May 1851. |
