Abstract | Indenture between Justices of the Peace & Zadok J Hall for apprenticeship of Sarah Johnson, free Negro who will be 4 yo in August next, with approbation of her mother Mary Johnson, free Negro of indigent circumstances. She is to learn the art of house work; apprenticeship to start today until August 1861 when Sarah attains age of 16. Hall to provide her with sufficient meat, drink, clothing & lodging during term and at its expiration to provide her with $20. |
