From Durango to Crisfield in Search of a Dream

In 2003, as part of a project undertaken by the American Folklife Center field school for cultural documentation and cosponsored by Salisbury University and the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art, folklorists interviewed, photographed, and collected materials from residents of Crisfield, Maryland. Included in the collection is an interview with migrant workers Jesus Vela and Cesar Sarmiento who at the time worked for the MeTompkin crab and oyster plant.
